Medical imaging will show that the organ does not look normal and is not working properly.
Functional issues are ailments that occur from impaired nerve and muscle function in the digestive tract, often known as motility disorders.
Types of Abdominal Pain
There are various kinds of Abdominal Pain reported every year, but we will leave a major classification of them into three. This classification is based on the response time and how long they last. These are:
1. Acute pain: starts over some hours and probably days, and progresses in time with additional symptoms along the way.
2. Chronic pain: lasts longer than acute pain, probably from weeks to months and more, but fluctuates on the way. Call it a roller coaster ride if you want!
3. Progressive pain is the worst one because its severity progresses with time picking up symptoms along the way.
Some Stomach Pain Reasons
IBS may grow worse after eating meals, or when you are anxious, if IBS is the source of stomach pain. If you have IBS, symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, and bloating will happen, but they don't cause bleeding or loss of weight.
Some of the abdominal pain conditions are:
Constipation
If constipation is the cause of your stomach discomfort, you might have strong gas sensations throughout your belly. People with constipation frequently feel bloated and full, and their belly might even distend noticeably.
Ulcers
The end of your stomach or the first portion of the small bowel is an ulcer. Ulcers can induce a hunger-like burning feeling. Nausea, vomiting, or heartburn are further symptoms.
Pancreatitis
A strong and acute pain that can be radiated in the upper center of the belly, occasionally to your back or chest, caused by pancreatitis or caused by inflammation of the pancreas. Other symptoms may also include nausea, vomiting, and fever. A rapid acute episode or persistent disease may lead to pancreatitis.
Diverticulitis
Diverticulitis may cause abdominal pain and sensitivity in the lower left abdomen.
This occurs when the little bags are infected or inflamed within the big intestine.
Food, nausea, vomiting, or constipation might otherwise include low-quality fever. Therefore, it is usually safe to wait and observe whether the upper stomach ache remains untreated.
